XRP Price Prediction: Could Ripple’s Banking Breakthrough Push Token Toward $15?

Ripple has received final approval from U.S. regulators for its national trust bank, marking a significant development for the company as XRP investors turn their attention to Swell 2026 in New York. The decision strengthens Ripple’s position in regulated financial services, while institutional partnerships and continued ETF inflows could provide additional support for XRP’s market outlook.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) granted final approval to Ripple National Trust Bank on October 26, completing a process that began with conditional approval in December 2025. The authorization paves the way for expanded institutional custody services and reserve management for Ripple USD (RLUSD). The timing places the regulatory milestone alongside one of Ripple’s major annual industry events.

Ripple’s Bank Approval Could Boost XRP’s Institutional Appeal

The national trust bank approval represents another step in Ripple’s strategy to connect blockchain technology with traditional financial infrastructure. The bank is expected to manage segregated reserves backing RLUSD, act as collateral trustee for RLUSD holders, and provide fiduciary custody services for digital assets.

RLUSD will continue to be issued by Standard Custody & Trust Company under New York state regulation. The additional federal oversight strengthens the regulatory framework surrounding Ripple’s stablecoin and institutional services. Since its launch in December 2024, RLUSD has reportedly reached a market capitalization of $2.5 billion.

For XRP, the development reinforces Ripple’s expansion across payments, stablecoins, custody, and capital markets. As the company broadens its financial infrastructure, more institutions could explore its services, potentially increasing XRP Ledger adoption and supporting liquidity across the ecosystem.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has consistently emphasized the importance of connecting cryptocurrency companies with established financial institutions. The latest approval provides a stronger regulatory foundation for that strategy as industry participants gather to discuss the future of digital finance.

XRP ETFs Accumulate $1.8 Billion Ahead of Ripple Swell 2026

U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds have recorded approximately $1.8 billion in cumulative net inflows, highlighting the growing role of regulated investment products in the token’s institutional adoption. Their combined net assets reached $1.48 billion.

Recent trading data also points to continued investor interest. XRP ETFs recorded $4.3 million in net inflows between October 19 and October 23, including $3.5 million on October 22. The October 23 session saw no net creations or redemptions.

These investment products give traditional investors access to XRP without requiring them to manage cryptocurrency wallets or conduct transactions directly on the blockchain. Sustained ETF demand could therefore provide another source of institutional capital for the market.

Ripple Swell 2026 may add further momentum to this trend. Running from October 27 to October 29 in New York, the event brings together Swell, the XRP Ledger developer conference Apex, and a gathering organized through the University Blockchain Research Initiative.

Ripple expects more than 1,500 attendees, over 100 speakers, and upwards of 80 sessions. The agenda includes discussions on tokenization, stablecoins, capital markets, settlement systems, crypto ETFs, and the practical applications of XRP.

Executives from Ripple and major financial institutions are expected to participate. Announcements involving institutional payment solutions, digital asset custody, tokenization, or new investment products could strengthen confidence in Ripple’s ecosystem and renew interest in XRP.

XRP Price Prediction: Is $15 Within Reach?

Technical analyst Javon Marks has presented a bullish XRP price target of $15, drawing comparisons between the token’s current chart structure and its major rally in 2017.

In July 2026, Marks highlighted the approximately 2,872% increase XRP recorded during its earlier breakout. Applying a similar percentage gain to the November 2024 breakout level near $0.50 produced his $15 projection.

Reaching that level would require a substantial rally and a new phase of price discovery. Stronger ETF inflows, increased institutional adoption, and favorable announcements from Ripple could contribute to the bullish outlook, although these developments would not guarantee such an outcome.

Another analyst, Chad Steingraber, has previously suggested that XRP could climb from $2 to $10 in less than a year. His outlook cited ETF demand and the possibility of a faster repricing as institutional participation expands.

Swell 2026 gives Ripple an opportunity to strengthen the market narrative through new partnerships and product announcements. Progress in banking relationships, wider RLUSD adoption, or additional institutional services built around the XRP Ledger could improve the ecosystem’s long-term prospects.

However, the $15 target remains speculative. Ripple’s banking approval and the growth of XRP ETFs may improve market sentiment, but the token’s future performance will ultimately depend on actual adoption, broader cryptocurrency market conditions, and sustained investor demand.

With Ripple entering Swell 2026 following its latest regulatory milestone, investors will be watching for announcements that could influence institutional participation and XRP’s next major price move.
