Bitcoin (BTC) $87,181.76, the world’s largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, suffered a sudden flash crash on Hyperliquid at 7:34 UTC, plunging from $83,307 to $80,255 in just one minute before rebounding to roughly $83,000.
The event triggered multiple liquidations on Hyperliquid, including five $10 million positions, with the single largest liquidation totaling $36.78 million, according to BlockPulse data.
Other major exchanges saw a far milder impact, with Bitcoin prices remaining above $81,000 throughout the incident.
