Crypto Markets Brace for U.S. Inflation Data, Coinbase’s Deribit Shift

The week beginning Sept. 7 brings several events that could influence cryptocurrency markets, with U.S. inflation data likely to be the biggest macro focus.

The latest producer price figures are due Thursday, followed by the consumer price index on Friday. The two reports will give investors some of the final major inflation signals before the Federal Reserve meets later this month.

The European Central Bank and Bank of Russia will also announce their latest interest-rate decisions. In crypto, Coinbase is expected to move the venue used for perpetual-futures trading on its app and website from Coinbase International Exchange to Deribit, which Coinbase acquired in August 2025.

Earnings from GameStop and bitcoin miner Canaan are also scheduled, while Blockstream plans to release the source code related to security fixes in Core Lightning 26.06.7.
