AI is mapping Bitcoin’s key price levels as Strategy transfers $297 million worth of BTC and traders increasingly shift capital toward altcoins near market highs.
Two potentially important signals emerged this week, although neither provides a definitive warning on its own. Strategy transferred 3,568 BTC, worth about $297 million, from its wallets over a nine-hour period, according to Lookonchain. At the same time, Glassnode data shows spot-market traders are moving into altcoins at their fastest pace in a year.
Claude AI expects Bitcoin to maintain its breakout in the near term, but the combination of these developments suggests traders should remain cautious rather than chase the current move.
Bitcoin is trading near $84,285, up 0.94% over the past 24 hours. BTC remains above the level it recovered last week, although its momentum has started to fade.
The reason for Strategy’s latest transfer remains unclear. The verifiable detail is that 3,568 BTC moved from addresses associated with the company over approximately nine hours. At current prices, the transfer is worth roughly $297 million.
The timing has raised questions. Just days earlier, Strategy bought another 1,665 BTC at an average price of $85,681, marking its second consecutive weekly purchase. Moving a substantial amount of Bitcoin shortly after adding to its holdings is unusual for a company primarily known for accumulating BTC.
Still, the transfer does not necessarily indicate selling. Strategy could be moving coins between custody providers, reorganizing its wallet structure, or shifting assets for security and accounting purposes. None of those scenarios would require the company to sell Bitcoin.
Strategy has previously sold BTC, however. During the summer, the company sold 6,916 BTC to help fund preferred dividends and reduce debt, with those sales taking place below $65,000.
For now, the transfer remains an open question. Moving Bitcoin between wallets is not proof of a sale, and assigning a specific motive to an on-chain transaction without additional evidence can be misleading.
The altcoin rotation provides a more visible market signal. Total spot trading volume across the crypto market is now almost four times Bitcoin’s spot volume, reaching its highest level since September 2025. This suggests traders are allocating more capital toward assets outside BTC.
Glassnode has previously highlighted that a sharp increase in demand for higher-risk crypto assets has often appeared around local Bitcoin tops.
The reason is largely behavioral. Traders tend to rotate into altcoins after Bitcoin has already posted a strong rally, when confidence in the broader market is high. By the time investors aggressively pursue smaller-cap tokens, much of Bitcoin’s initial move may already have occurred.
Glassnode’s historical chart shows similar behavior. Elevated readings during early 2025 and mid-2025 emerged around local Bitcoin highs rather than at the beginning of major upward moves.
That does not automatically point to a crash. Instead, it indicates that entering the market at current levels may carry more downside risk than it did when Bitcoin was trading around $75,000 two weeks ago.
AI Identifies Bitcoin Levels to Watch
Bitcoin’s technical structure remains positive, offering a counterbalance to the cautionary signals. BTC is holding above $82,303, a level that previously acted as resistance in May and September before becoming support. Meanwhile, the 50-day EMA at $77,594 remains above the 200-day EMA at $74,364, and both averages continue to rise.
AI identifies several levels that could determine Bitcoin’s next move.
$82,303 support: Daily closes above this level would preserve the current breakout structure.
$88,000–$90,000 resistance: This area represents the next significant supply zone and could test whether Bitcoin is approaching a local top.
$98,330 target: This is the next major barrier below the $100,000 mark and could become a potential year-end objective if the broader uptrend continues.
On the downside, $77,594 and $74,364 are the next major support levels below the breakout. This broader zone has helped contain Bitcoin pullbacks since August.
Bitcoin’s setup therefore remains mixed. Corporate accumulation and rising moving averages continue to support the bullish structure, while the rapid rotation into altcoins and Strategy’s unexplained $297 million BTC transfer introduce additional uncertainty.
For now, $82,303 remains the key level to watch. A sustained hold would keep the breakout structure in place, while a move below it could signal that the recent warning signs were pointing to weakening momentum.
