DriveWealth Brings RLUSD Settlement to European Markets in XRP Ecosystem Move

DriveWealth is integrating Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin settlement infrastructure on the XRP Ledger into its brokerage platform, with Europe set to receive the initial rollout before a planned expansion into the United States. The two companies announced the partnership on October 15, 2026.

DriveWealth provides brokerage technology to fintech businesses, digital wallet providers and financial institutions that give customers access to U.S. financial markets. Its infrastructure supports investment services for more than 100 partners worldwide, potentially creating a significant distribution channel for the RLUSD integration.

However, the size of DriveWealth’s existing network does not guarantee widespread adoption of the stablecoin. Neither company has identified which partners will use the service, confirmed whether any integrations are already active or committed to making it available across the entire network.

The partnership addresses a specific challenge for international investors: traditional bank transfers can involve processing delays and cutoff times that prevent funds from reaching brokerage accounts immediately. Using stablecoins that can be converted into cash in near real time could help clients fund accounts more efficiently and reduce dependence on conventional banking schedules.

RLUSD Integration Covers Settlement, Payments and Custody

The settlement system will use Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin on the XRP Ledger, supported by Ripple’s minting and burning infrastructure. DriveWealth says the arrangement will allow clients to fund accounts and manage collateral using stablecoins that can be converted into cash almost immediately, instead of waiting for conventional wire transfers to clear.

The agreement also includes an integration with Ripple Payments to facilitate cross-border fund acceptance from DriveWealth’s international partners. The initiative aims to simplify the movement of money between markets and improve the funding process for brokerage clients.

Digital-asset custody is another area of cooperation. DriveWealth and Ripple are developing custody services for Europe, with the possibility of entering additional markets later. Their plans involve moving treasury and custody operations onto Ripple’s infrastructure, allowing clients to view dollar balances, stablecoin holdings and cryptocurrency assets in real time and transfer value between them.

Equity financing, however, remains under consideration rather than being a confirmed service. DriveWealth and Ripple Prime are exploring potential opportunities through Ripple Prime’s Delta One business. This initiative is still at the exploratory stage, unlike the settlement and payments integrations announced by the companies.

Europe Is the Starting Point for RLUSD Settlement

The planned rollout will begin with settlement services in Europe, followed by a potential U.S. expansion. Digital-asset custody will also initially target Europe, with other jurisdictions considered for later deployment. Ripple says it has obtained more than 85 regulatory licenses across its areas of operation.

DriveWealth CEO Naureen Hassan highlighted the importance of aligning funding capabilities with extended trading access.

“We’ve already enabled 24/5 trading; now we need the funding to match, so clients can move with the markets instead of waiting for them,” Hassan said.

Despite announcing the partnership, the companies have not disclosed a launch date, expected transaction volumes or a list of confirmed participating partners. Details about the first operational deployment and the pace of adoption remain outstanding.

The companies planned to discuss the collaboration during a Ripple Swell fireside chat scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, in New York City.

For RLUSD and the XRP Ledger, the agreement could expand the use of stablecoin infrastructure within brokerage services and institutional finance. Its longer-term significance will depend on when the integrations go live, how many partners adopt them and whether customers use the services at meaningful scale.
