Fresh inflows into XRP-linked investment products, along with a surge in new wallet creation, suggest traders may be rotating selectively into XRP while reducing exposure to larger cryptocurrencies.
XRP traded near $1.37 during midday Hong Kong hours on Thursday, according to CoinDesk data. Meanwhile, bitcoin hovered around $77,400 and ether remained under selling pressure, underscoring a split in performance across major digital assets.
CoinGlass data shows XRP-focused funds attracted $8.88 million in inflows in the latest session, extending a recent streak that included $18.52 million on May 14 and $10.87 million on May 15. Over the past week, XRP products have recorded about $42 million in total net inflows.
This contrasts sharply with continued outflows from larger crypto funds. Bitcoin ETFs saw $100.9 million in outflows in the latest session, following earlier redemptions of $648.6 million, $331.1 million, and $290.4 million. Ether products also remained weak, posting $32.6 million in outflows.
The divergence in flows points to a more selective rotation within the crypto market, with XRP attracting relative inflows while major assets face sustained selling pressure. However, XRP’s underlying network strength still remains below levels seen in late 2025.
On-chain data adds further context, though it is less conclusive. According to blockchain analytics firm Santiment, XRP recorded the fourth-largest single-day spike in wallet creation this year, with 4,300 new wallets added in a 24-hour period.
While such spikes can signal fresh user activity—particularly when paired with capital inflows—the broader trend remains weak. Santiment data indicates XRP network growth has generally declined since late 2025, suggesting the recent jump may be driven more by short-term speculation than sustained adoption.
For traders, the key question is whether XRP is entering an early-stage rotation narrative or simply experiencing a temporary positioning shift amid continued weakness across the broader crypto market.
