The crypto market enters the week of Sept. 28 with traders taking a pause after a strong advance, while a busy U.S. economic calendar could provide the next major catalyst.
Bitcoin has slipped roughly 1% since Friday and more than 2% over the past 24 hours, pulling back after approaching the $84,000 mark.
Investors are now weighing the recent rally against a series of economic releases following last week’s hawkish Federal Reserve decision. The central bank raised its benchmark target rate to 4%.
The economic calendar includes jobless claims, housing data and manufacturing figures, while traders continue to assess the global rate outlook after recent policy decisions by the Bank of Japan and Bank of England.
