Strategy (MSTR) sold 1,638 bitcoin last week, generating $104.73 million, while also raising another $290.6 million through sales of its common shares.
The company used part of its capital to repurchase 912,143 shares of its high-yielding STRC preferred stock for $81.2 million, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The bitcoin transactions reduced Strategy’s holdings to 842,138 BTC, which were accumulated at a total cost of $63.51 billion and an average purchase price of $75,419 per bitcoin. The company also expanded its cash reserves by $250 million, bringing its available U.S. dollar balance to $4 billion.
Strategy announced over the weekend that it would continue maintaining STRC’s annual dividend at 12%. The company said it does not plan to recommend a dividend reduction unless the preferred shares trade steadily near their $100 stated value.
MSTR shares declined 1.9% in pre-market trading following bitcoin’s weekend pullback toward $62,500. Meanwhile, STRC showed little movement.
