KULR Expands Bitcoin Treasury to Over 800 BTC with $9 Million Purchase

Energy management company KULR (KULR) has increased its bitcoin holdings to more than 800 BTC following a $9 million acquisition at an average price of $103,234 per bitcoin.

This latest purchase brings KULR’s total investment in bitcoin to approximately $78 million, reinforcing the company’s treasury strategy announced in December 2024. Under this plan, KULR aims to allocate up to 90% of its excess cash reserves into bitcoin.

Based in Houston, KULR specializes in developing energy storage solutions for the aerospace and defense sectors. The company evaluates the success of its bitcoin strategy through a BTC Yield metric, which measures the growth in the ratio of bitcoin holdings relative to its outstanding shares—focusing on exposure rather than direct dollar returns.

According to KULR’s recent press release, this ratio has surged by 220 so far in 2025, highlighting significant growth in bitcoin exposure on a per-share basis.

Shares of KULR were trading 3.15% higher in pre-market activity at $1.30.
