Evernorth started trading on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN on Monday, October 12, holding approximately 473 million XRP and $300 million in gross cash. At the closing reference price, however, its XRP reserves were worth around $677 million, considerably less than the more than $1 billion funding figure highlighted in earlier reports.
The listing allows investors to access XRP exposure through a conventional brokerage account without purchasing the token directly. Yet the difference between the initial deal narrative and the closing valuation underscores several risks, including XRP price volatility, a limited number of publicly traded shares, and the potential for shareholder dilution.
Evernorth finalized its business combination with SPAC Armada Acquisition Corp. II on Friday, October 9. The $677 million valuation of its XRP treasury reflects a token price of $1.43, down from $2.37 when the deal was signed in October 2025. The two reference prices represent a decline of approximately 40%.
The company’s holdings of about 473 million XRP were a key consideration for investors before the listing. The latest valuation highlights how movements in XRP’s market price can quickly change perceptions of the company’s equity value.
XRPN Gives Investors Access to XRP Through Equity Markets
Investors can buy XRPN shares through a regular brokerage account rather than holding XRP themselves. However, owning the stock is not the same as owning the cryptocurrency. XRPN represents a business with cash reserves, investment plans, operating expenses, and financing obligations, so its share price may not move in line with XRP’s market value.
Evernorth operates within the digital asset treasury (DAT) sector, where market-value-to-net-asset-value, or mNAV, is an important valuation measure. The metric compares a company’s market capitalization with the net value of its cryptocurrency holdings and other assets.
When shares trade above net asset value, a company may be able to issue stock at a premium and use the proceeds to acquire more cryptocurrency. When shares trade below net asset value, new share issuance can weaken existing shareholders’ proportional claims on the business.
The SPAC merger also left XRPN with a relatively small initial public float. Around 80.3% of Armada’s public shareholders, representing 18.5 million shares, redeemed their holdings for approximately $10.58 per share. This removed roughly $195 million before the merger closed and left about 4.5 million original public shares available for trading. With such a limited supply, even relatively modest buying or selling activity can lead to sharp price swings.
The stock’s movements around the merger illustrate this volatility. XRPN reached an intraday high of $53 on October 2 and closed that Friday at $39.42. By October 9, the merger’s closing date, it had fallen to $17.09. During its first Nasdaq trading session, the stock briefly approached $19 before slipping to $16.64 by midday.
The shareholder structure is another factor to consider. According to filing data cited in the source, SBI Holdings owns 39.9% of voting shares, an Arrington Capital fund holds 19.9%, and Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen has a 9.9% interest. Ripple and its affiliates are limited to 9.9% of voting power. Ripple, a Larsen-linked trust, and Arrington’s fund are also subject to six-month lock-up agreements that prevent share sales until April 2027.
XRP Prices and Treasury Management Will Shape Evernorth’s Outlook
Evernorth plans to do more than simply hold XRP. Its stated strategy includes generating yield through decentralized finance (DeFi) and operating validators on the XRP Ledger, with the objective of increasing the amount of XRP attributable to each share. On October 12, the company appointed Hugo Jeandesboz, formerly co-chief investment officer at Coinbase Asset Management, to oversee this strategy.
These activities introduce additional risks beyond fluctuations in XRP’s price. DeFi yield strategies can carry technical and operational risks, while operating expenses, future stock issuance, and treasury-management decisions can affect the value available to shareholders.
The company’s $300 million in gross cash provides a separate source of funding, but the amount does not account for transaction expenses. It also does not remove the valuation risks associated with a treasury concentrated heavily in XRP.
For investors following developments in the XRP ecosystem, a rising token price could increase the value of Evernorth’s reserves. However, that alone would not establish whether XRPN is trading at a fair mNAV or whether management is increasing the amount of XRP represented by each share. Conversely, a discount to net asset value could make it more difficult for the company to raise additional capital, even if it continues to hold a substantial XRP reserve.
Evernorth’s Nasdaq debut has transformed its XRP treasury strategy into a publicly traded equity, allowing investors to assess its valuation premium or discount through the share price. The company’s next planned public event is a Nasdaq closing-bell ceremony on Wednesday, October 14. Its warrants trade separately under the ticker XRPNW, giving holders the right to purchase shares for $11.50 each.
