Arbitrum’s ARB Spikes Post Announcement of Support for PayPal’s $850M PYUSD Stablecoin

ARB Token Rises as PayPal Includes Arbitrum in $850M PYUSD Stablecoin Network

Arbitrum’s native token, ARB, saw a notable surge on Wednesday after PayPal updated its cryptocurrency terms to add Arbitrum as one of the supported blockchains for its $850 million PYUSD stablecoin.

The update lists Arbitrum alongside Ethereum and Solana, networks where PYUSD is already active. PYUSD, issued by Paxos, now operates across these chains to offer users greater flexibility.

In the past 24 hours, ARB climbed 7.7%, outpacing leading cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Neither PayPal nor Paxos have officially commented on the change, but this move signals expanding integration of Arbitrum in mainstream payment systems.

Interestingly, Stellar (XLM), which PayPal previously announced as a PYUSD platform, was not included in this latest update.

In related news, Robinhood has also chosen Arbitrum as its blockchain partner to launch tokenized equity products, further boosting the network’s adoption.
