Strategy Acquires 13,390 BTC in $1.34B Bitcoin Purchase

Bitcoin accumulation continues at Strategy (MSTR), with the Michael Saylor-led firm announcing a fresh purchase of 13,390 BTC for approximately $1.34 billion, according to a regulatory filing released Monday.

The acquisition was made at an average price of $99,856 per bitcoin and follows closely on the heels of last week’s Strategy Conference. With this latest buy, the company now holds a total of 568,840 BTC—currently valued at more than $59 billion based on bitcoin’s market price of around $104,000.

This move pushes the firm’s average purchase price to $69,287 per bitcoin.

To fund the purchase, Strategy tapped two capital-raising channels: an at-the-market (ATM) offering of its Class A common shares and the issuance of its Series STRK preferred stock. Between May 5 and May 11, the company raised $1.31 billion via the stock offering and issued 273,987 Series STRK shares.

MSTR shares were up 2% in pre-market trading following the announcement, reflecting continued investor confidence in the firm’s aggressive bitcoin strategy.
