XRP Falls as Bitwise Drives $11 Million in ETF Investments

U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds recorded $11.31 million in net inflows from October 5 to October 9, even as XRP’s price dropped from approximately $1.52 to $1.40 and briefly reached $1.32. The divergence between positive fund flows and declining prices raises questions about whether ETF demand can protect the $1.32–$1.38 support zone or whether XRP must recover the $1.50–$1.56 range to signal a meaningful improvement in its short-term trend.

Bitwise accounted for $10.55 million of the weekly inflows, providing the bulk of the capital entering XRP investment products. Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ attracted $4.10 million, while Canary Capital’s XRPC experienced $3.34 million in net outflows. Meanwhile, three of the five trading sessions recorded no net movement.

Excluding Bitwise, the remaining funds generated a combined net inflow of just $760,000. This reveals that the ongoing 12-week inflow streak has not been supported evenly across issuers. Although investor money continues to enter XRP ETFs, the latest figures show that demand remains heavily reliant on one provider. Future reports will indicate whether participation broadens or Bitwise continues to account for most of the inflows.

XRP ETFs held approximately $1.57 billion in net assets, compared with cumulative net inflows of roughly $1.8 billion since their launch. The difference of around $230 million offers a broad indication of the gap between accumulated inflows and current fund values, though it should not be treated as an exact measure of investor losses.

The trend also differs from activity in other cryptocurrency investment products. U.S. spot Bitcoin funds recorded $681 million in net outflows during the same week, while XRP was the only category among the cited Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, and XRP funds to finish with positive net flows. This relative resilience stands out, but one week of inflows does not demonstrate that ETF demand can absorb persistent selling in the spot market.

Can XRP Hold the $1.32–$1.38 Support Zone?

XRP started the week near $1.52 and finished Friday at around $1.40, after briefly dropping to $1.32 on October 8. Based on those opening and closing levels, the token declined approximately 7.3% over the week, surrendering a substantial portion of its earlier gains.

The $1.32–$1.38 range is now the immediate support area for traders to monitor. If XRP remains above this zone while ETF inflows continue, it could suggest that investors are buying the dip. However, a short-lived rebound would not confirm that a durable bottom has formed. A decisive break below the range would indicate that ETF demand has failed to prevent further technical weakness.

On the upside, the $1.50–$1.56 region represents the key resistance band. A sustained move back above this range would offer stronger evidence of a recovering short-term trend than a temporary intraday rally. Until XRP reclaims these levels, ETF inflows remain a positive demand indicator rather than proof that a price reversal is underway.

Additional technical analysis of XRP also considers potential downside risks around the current support region.

Evernorth Adds Another Listed XRP Investment Vehicle

Evernorth’s XRPN began trading on Nasdaq on October 12, introducing another publicly listed option for investors seeking exposure to XRP. The report states that the vehicle holds approximately 473 million XRP, although its immediate effect on spot-market demand and price movements remains unclear.

This distinction is important when assessing XRP’s near-term prospects. If the token maintains support and inflows become more evenly distributed across ETF issuers, the argument for accumulation during market weakness would gain strength. However, a support breakdown or further concentration of inflows in one fund would weaken the case for a dependable price floor.

A sustained recovery above $1.50–$1.56 remains the clearest indication that XRP’s short-term trend may be improving. Evernorth’s substantial XRP holdings could contribute to market demand, but their direct influence on the token’s price has yet to be demonstrated.
