Ripple’s Luxembourg CASP Approval Elevated to Full Regulatory License

Ripple is now fully compliant with MiCA, giving it the ability to provide services to financial institutions, corporates, and businesses across all EEA countries. The company said Monday that Luxembourg upgraded its provisional CASP authorization under EU regulations to a full license, clearing the way for operations across the region.

According to Cassie Craddock, the approval ensures Ripple is ready to scale while remaining fully compliant in the post-MiCA transition period.

This development places Ripple among a small group of firms with full MiCA authorization, which became fully enforceable on July 1. Firms without licenses must halt operations in the region. Ripple’s initial approval came in June.

Thousands of CASPs, including Binance, failed to qualify in time. MiCA allows companies licensed in one EU country to “passport” their services across the entire area.

In February, Ripple also secured EMI approval from Luxembourg’s CSSF, enabling it to broaden its regulated payment offerings across the European Union.
