Strategy, the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, has expanded its BTC stash by acquiring an additional 4,020 coins for approximately $427 million, bringing its total holdings to 580,250 BTC, the company announced.
This latest purchase was financed through three active at-the-market (ATM) equity programs, according to a recent press release.
From May 19 to May 25, Strategy sold 847,000 shares of its common stock (MSTR) for $348.7 million, 678,970 shares of STRK preferred stock for $67.9 million, and 104,423 shares of STRF preferred stock for $10.4 million to fund the acquisition.
These offerings, which have a combined capacity of nearly $45 billion, are part of Strategy’s ongoing approach to accumulating Bitcoin.
The average purchase price for the recent Bitcoin tranche was $106,237 per coin. This brings Strategy’s total Bitcoin investment to approximately $40.61 billion, with an average purchase price of $69,979 per coin.
