Scroll DAO Halts Governance Activities as Team Reorganization Triggers Redesign Strategy

Scroll DAO Pauses Governance Amid Leadership Changes

Scroll DAO is temporarily halting its governance process following leadership resignations and uncertainty around active proposals, according to delegates in a Wednesday call.

The decentralized autonomous organization, which relies on token-based voting for decision-making, faces a period of transition after key governance figure Eugene resigned. Co-founder Haichen Shen confirmed the team is “redesigning governance,” while contributor Raza stressed that the pause is temporary, not a full stop.

Several proposals, including a treasury management measure, remain live, but their execution is uncertain as the DAO restructures. The organization aims to clarify processes and may move toward a more centralized governance approach.

Top delegates remain in place, including Olimpio, who controls 176,000 SCR tokens in voting power. SCR has climbed 3% over the past 24 hours alongside broader market gains but remains down roughly 75% from its December 2024 peak.
