Chainlink Launches New Community Rewards Initiative for LINK Stakers

Chainlink is introducing a new rewards initiative designed to boost participation within its ecosystem, with the first phase featuring token distribution from decentralized data platform Space and Time (SXT).

The program, named Chainlink Rewards, aims to incentivize and reward Chainlink node operators and community members who contribute to securing the network. Through this initiative, projects built on the Chainlink network can offer rewards to eligible participants, helping to further strengthen the ecosystem.

Founded in 2022, Space and Time is a decentralized data platform that leverages zero-knowledge proofs to validate database queries and deliver them to smart contracts. As part of this new collaboration, Space and Time has allocated 4% of its total SXT token supply (200 million SXT) to Chainlink ecosystem participants, including LINK stakers.

Starting May 8, eligible historical and active LINK stakers will be able to claim the first tranche of 100 million SXT tokens. The remaining 100 million SXT tokens, along with any unclaimed SXT, will be made available in a future campaign, which will also be open to both new and past LINK stakers. Token claims will be available for a period of 90 days.

Token incentives, such as these, are an effective way to attract users and capital to a blockchain network, driving up demand for the native token and increasing engagement from a broader audience who may not have previously interacted with the ecosystem.

While the Chainlink Rewards program is launching with Space and Time, the initiative is expected to grow over time, with more Build partners anticipated to join future reward seasons. Although the program will feature project-specific token distributions, its overarching goal is to encourage more users to stake LINK and deepen their involvement in the Chainlink ecosystem.

At this stage, there are no further details regarding additional reward partners or a long-term schedule for the program.
