Trump Media Confirms $2B Bitcoin Position After Capital Raise
Trump Media & Technology Group (DJT) disclosed Monday that it now holds approximately $2 billion worth of bitcoin, following a $2.5 billion capital raise completed in late May. At current prices near $118,700, the company’s bitcoin holdings equate to roughly 17,000 BTC.
The bitcoin accumulation is part of DJT’s publicly stated strategy to establish a crypto treasury and gain financial resilience.
“We’re methodically executing our bitcoin treasury plan,” said CEO Devin Nunes in a statement. “This approach safeguards our financial autonomy, insulates us from potential institutional discrimination, and lays the groundwork for a utility token to be launched across the Truth Social platform.”
Alongside its direct BTC holdings, the company has also deployed $300 million into an options strategy focused on acquiring bitcoin-linked securities.
The announcement comes amid growing interest in corporate digital asset strategies. DJT shares climbed 6.5% in premarket trading on the news.
