BTG Pactual’s Mynt Highlights Five Cryptos to Watch in ‘Uptober’
Brazil’s largest investment bank, BTG Pactual, through its crypto platform Mynt, has identified five cryptocurrencies positioned for potential growth this October: bitcoin (BTC) $125,028, ether (ETH) $4,672, solana (SOL) $235, avalanche (AVAX) $30.79, and sky (SKY).
The report, authored by Matheus Parizotto and João Galhardo, reflects bullish sentiment in the crypto market amid easing U.S. interest rates and rising anticipation for new crypto ETFs.
Bitcoin and Ether Lead Institutional Interest
Bitcoin remains the dominant institutional pick, with $3.5 billion flowing into BTC spot ETFs in September and corporate treasuries adding 43,000 BTC, worth over $5 billion. Mynt describes BTC as a “long-term pillar” due to its liquidity, network security, and adoption beyond retail investors.
Ether continues to lead in on-chain finance. The network supports the majority of stablecoin transactions and real-world asset tokenization. U.S. spot ETFs added $11.3 billion in ETH over the past six months, while corporate treasuries acquired 816,000 ETH in September, highlighting ongoing institutional appetite.
Solana, Avalanche, and Sky: Performance and Use Cases
Solana’s appeal lies in speed and low transaction costs. The network processed over $100 billion in DEX volume for the third consecutive month, and its total value locked (TVL) surpassed $30 billion, signaling deepening DeFi liquidity. Upcoming spot SOL ETFs could further boost visibility and demand.
Avalanche (AVAX) saw daily transactions rise 46% and stablecoin transfers increase 421% over the past quarter. Its subnet architecture allows enterprises to launch custom blockchains, expanding real-world applications.
Sky Protocol (SKY), formerly MakerDAO, rounds out the list. Its USDS stablecoin has a circulating supply of nearly $8 billion, and the Sky Savings Rate offers 4.75%. Coupled with a $77 million token buyback program, SKY is positioned as a yield-generating DeFi token with long-term growth potential.
