Semler Scientific Adds $20M in Bitcoin, Total Holdings Near $470M
Semler Scientific (NASDAQ: SMLR) has expanded its bitcoin treasury with a fresh purchase of 185 BTC for $20 million, according to a company filing. The acquisition, made over the 10-day period ending June 3, was executed at an average price of $107,974 per bitcoin.
This latest purchase brings Semler’s total bitcoin holdings to 4,449 BTC, currently valued at approximately $467 million based on bitcoin’s market price of around $105,000. The company’s aggregate purchase cost stands at $410 million, translating to an average entry price of $92,158 per BTC.
The accumulation has been funded through Semler’s $500 million at-the-market equity offering, launched on April 15. To date, the company has raised $136.2 million by selling 3.5 million shares under the program.
Semler’s bitcoin strategy has yielded strong results so far in 2025, with a 26.7% return year-to-date on its BTC portfolio.
Despite the bullish performance of its crypto assets, Semler shares are down 35% year-to-date, and were largely unchanged in Tuesday’s premarket session.
