“Santiment’s Weekly Rundown: BTC, ETH, DOGE, USDT, and EGLD Lead Social Mentions”

Crypto analytics firm Santiment reported Friday that Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Tether (USDT), and MultiversX (EGLD) were the top trending assets in online discussions this week.

Bitcoin dominated conversations as users debated its “digital gold” narrative, long-term investment appeal, and rising government and institutional engagement. Discussions also highlighted self-custody and node usage as critical to network security.

Ethereum remained prominent, appearing frequently in promotions for short-lived tokens, reflecting ETH’s ongoing role in shaping how new projects present transferability and usability to investors.

Dogecoin drew attention due to Rex-Osprey filing for the first U.S.-listed DOGE ETF and Trump-backed Thumzup expanding mining operations with 3,500 new rigs.

Tether gained focus with plans to increase investments across the gold supply chain. Executives described gold as “natural bitcoin,” indicating a strategy that extends beyond digital assets.

MultiversX discussions centered on supply dilution concerns and the migration of projects to other chains such as Sui, while noting progress on ecosystem services like xPortal and xMoney.
