Meta and CoreWeave double down on AI with a $21B deal for NVIDIA’s advanced superchips.

Meta has expanded its partnership with CoreWeave in a deal worth roughly $21 billion, highlighting intensifying demand for large-scale AI compute and inference infrastructure.

The agreement builds on a prior arrangement valued at up to $14.2 billion, extending the relationship as Meta accelerates investment in artificial intelligence.

Under the new terms, CoreWeave will deliver dedicated cloud capacity to Meta through 2032, supporting the training and deployment of its next-generation AI systems.

The infrastructure will be deployed across multiple sites and will feature early integration of NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform — a next-generation AI supercomputing architecture designed to improve efficiency, scalability, and system reliability.

Vera Rubin is expected to represent a step change in AI development, enabling a transition from traditional generative models to more advanced “agentic AI” systems capable of autonomously executing complex tasks.

A major focus of the partnership is inference capacity, reflecting a broader shift across the industry toward continuously running AI models in production environments rather than focusing solely on training.

CoreWeave CEO Michael Intrator said the deal underscores how leading technology firms are increasingly relying on specialized AI cloud providers to manage high-performance workloads.

The agreement also points to a wider trend of major tech companies securing long-term compute capacity as AI becomes central to their product ecosystems.
