CME Clarifies XRP, SOL Futures Leak as Mistake, No Decisions Made Yet

A recent leak from the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) showing potential futures contracts for XRP (XRP) and Solana (SOL), possibly launching on Feb. 10 pending regulatory approval, has been confirmed as an “error,” a CME representative told CoinDesk.

The spokesperson clarified, “A beta page from our website was released in error earlier today. Many mock-ups are included in that test environment, and no decisions have been made regarding XRP or SOL futures contracts.”

Earlier on Wednesday, a screenshot of the beta page for XRP and Solana futures contracts was shared on X, fueling speculation that CME might be preparing to list these futures products.

Following the leak, both XRP and SOL saw a brief surge of up to 3%, before slightly reversing their gains.
