Strategy has resumed its bitcoin accumulation after a roughly three-week break, purchasing 950 BTC last week for $75.7 million.
The company paid an average of $79,670 for each bitcoin, according to a regulatory filing released Monday. The acquisition was funded from Strategy’s USD reserve.
The filing also showed that Strategy deployed $174 million in USD cash to repurchase STRC and another $57.4 million from the reserve for dividends on its preferred shares. After these transactions, the company’s USD reserve stood at $5 billion, while its USD cash balance was $1 billion.
Strategy’s latest purchase lifts its bitcoin holdings to 846,000 BTC. The company, led by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, has accumulated its holdings for a combined $63.81 billion, giving it an average purchase price of $74,417 per bitcoin.
MSTR shares jumped 7% in premarket trading as bitcoin advanced to $84,500. BTC was up 4.5% over the preceding 24 hours.
