CNN to Leverage Kalshi Prediction Markets Across Multiple News Segments

CNN has entered a new data partnership with prediction market platform Kalshi, bringing market-implied probabilities directly into its newsroom and debuting a Kalshi-powered ticker for segments that rely on real-time event forecasting.

The partnership, announced Tuesday in the U.S., gives CNN continuous access to Kalshi’s live odds across political, economic, and cultural topics—reflecting a growing shift within American media toward probability-based reporting. Kalshi’s data will feed into CNN’s on-air analysis as well as internal editorial workflows, with the network planning to display live market odds during segments that use the information.

Harry Enten, CNN’s chief data analyst, will lead the integration. Known for his probability-heavy coverage and polling expertise, Enten is expected to incorporate Kalshi’s event-contract data as a new metric for evaluating the likelihood of major political and cultural outcomes.

The agreement also extends Kalshi’s real-time data streams to CNN’s editorial, production, and graphics teams. CNN says the feeds will help support visual storytelling, provide richer context for news reports, and shape narratives around shifting market expectations tied to U.S. politics and other major storylines.

The partnership follows Kalshi’s recent $1 billion fundraising round, which placed an $11 billion valuation on the event-contract marketplace.
